Peach Springs City, Arizona, is an historic town that's located along the historic US Route 66. Before Interstate 40 opened 25 miles south, Route 66 traveled through town. Today, Interstate 40 separates Route 66 at Seligman and Kingman, removing Peach Springs from the main thoroughfare. That meant Peach Springs lost thirty miles from Interstate 40 and became a ghost town.
