Poyen, Arkansas Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

In 1954, the city incorporated as a town and received income from the power company and taxes. This growth led to the development of the post office, city hall, and fire department. The town had no nightlife and no cultural events. Eventually, the local sawmills closed and the railroad ceased service. The tracks were removed in 1983. Poyen is now home to a few churches and a small greasy spoon diner.
