Kim is a Statutory Town in Las Animas County, Colorado. According to the 2010 census, the population was 74. The town has a general store, post office, and complete school system. It has a total area of 0.78 square miles (1.4 km2). The elevation of Kim is 5690 feet (1734 m).

The Korean traditional kinship system is based on clans or bongwan, groups of people who share a common geographical origin. Because of this, different Kims can trace their lineage back to a number of different places. For example, the Kim family hails from Gimhae, which was the birthplace of Kim Su-Ro, the founder of the Gaya kingdom. In addition, Gyeongju is home to over 300 Kim clans, and Andong has two Kim clans.

The average age in the town was 44. One-third of the population was under the age of 18. Two-thirds of households were married couples, and the remainder was made up of non-families. Among the population, one fifth lived alone, while fifteen percent was over the age of 65. Despite being a small town, Kim City has a low-income economy. The town's population is a result of a combination of aging and attrition.
