Matheson, Colorado Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

Several factors can contribute to the rise in Matheson City's population. For starters, the city is home to many old-order Mennonites. These people have settled in this area and other areas of northern Ontario over the past decade. In Matheson, this has led to a housing shortage, as there aren't enough subdivisions or homes. Old-order Mennonites are estimated to number around 700 people. These men and women purchase underused farmland and raise large families with lots of kids.

The city's average age is 44.2, with males making up 49.8% of the population and females making up 50.2%. Locals over 65 represent the largest age group, while those aged 55 to 64 are the next-largest. Another notable statistic is that 425 people in Matheson have never been married. This is a shocking number, considering that married people make up 52.7% of the resident pool.
