West Park City, Utah is a mountain resort city in the Wasatch Back. The population of the city was 28,508 at the 2010 census. It is located 32 miles from Salt Lake City and 20 miles from the eastern edge of Sugar House. The city is a census-designated place (CDP), which means that it has no governmental authority and exists solely for statistical purposes. Like counties, CDPs extend across state lines, but they are not legal entities themselves.

There are roughly 32,000 people living in the ZIP code 94025, mostly white. There are very few people of color, and the percentage of single adults is relatively low. The number of students and homemakers is slightly above average. There is a small percentage of vacant housing in the city, and one or two correctional facilities are nearby.
