Dacula, Georgia Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

Dacula is the third-largest city in Georgia, but it's not quite as big as Georgia. It has a population of around 5,919, or nearly 30 percent of Georgia's total. As far as racial makeup goes, whites make up half of the population, followed by Hispanics (17.4%). Two or more races comprise the remaining five percent of the population.

Despite being a suburban city, Dacula has its share of urban and rural lifestyles. The northwest part of the city, for instance, has more retail establishments than the rest of the city. Retail establishments are notorious for crime, but that doesn't mean that the rest of Dacula residents are in danger. The violent crime rate map shows red areas, but they aren't necessarily the most dangerous parts of the city.

Despite its small size, Dacula has a low crime rate compared to nearby cities. The chances of experiencing a violent crime in Dacula are one in five66 in the southwest part, and one in ten69 in the north. While the differences in violent crime rate are not intuitive, the fact remains that Dacula is safer than many other cities of comparable size. This is especially true when it comes to the violent crime rate.

The number of foreign-born residents in Dacula is 13.2%, making it the third-most-immigrant city in the greater Dacula area. For comparison, Grayson, with a 33.6% foreign-born population, is 2.5 times larger than Dacula and 2.4% smaller. However, despite its relatively small size, Dacula has a high proportion of naturalized citizens compared to other cities.
