Lake Park, Georgia Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

A population of about 30,000 people makes up the majority of Lake Park City, Utah's population. However, the population's size is not a good representation of the town's consumption demands. Since the majority of residential units are second homes, Park City residents' ability to influence land use should be based on a number of factors, including the amount of open space surrounded by residential units, regional strategies, and community values.

According to the 2010 Census, the population of the city could have grown by at least 2,072 more housing units. The city currently has about 9,471 housing units, so its total population should be around 11,700. However, Park City's growth may have been more in line with the State and Census Bureau's estimates. The population of the city is increasing, and the City's housing inventory is growing as well.

The 2010 Census reports that the median age of the citizens of Lake Park City was 31.3 in 1990. This number rose to 32.7 in 2000 and 37.4 in 2010. The number of households made up of individuals was 40.8%, and 5.0% consisted of people who were 65 years old and older. The median household size was 2.6 people, and the average family size was 3.03.

The town's growth was spurred by a silver mine in the 1880s. Founded by David Keith and Thomas Kearns, the Silver King Mine became one of the most famous silver mines in the world. The mine flourished and Park City became a thriving community. In the 1950s, the city nearly became a ghost town, but the silver price eventually recovered and the town thrived.
