The Twin Cities, also known as Minneapolis and Saint Paul, are two major metropolitan areas in the United States. They are located in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Both cities have similar populations, but the Saint Paul city population is a bit smaller. Despite being smaller than the metro area, it is a growing area, with nearly a million people.

The city is located in the state of Minnesota and serves as the county seat for Ramsey County. Its residents are largely Christian, with minorities of Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, and Wiccans. Approximately 82% of its residents work in the private sector.

The city's population was spread out in terms of age. A little over thirty-five percent of the population was under the age of eighteen, while another 9.1% of residents were between 18-24. Of the rest, a quarter were between 25-44. Twenty-seven percent were 45-64 years old, and 12.8% were 65 years and older. The median age was 35 years. Males outnumbered females by a ratio of 95.3% to 1, while 50.8% of those above the age of 18 were female.

The City of Saint Paul is divided into seventeen Planning Districts, or wards. These wards each have significant land-use control and a voice in guiding development. In addition, they organize neighborhoods.
