Santa, Idaho Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

The population of Santa City is quite varied, with 27.0% under the age of 18 and nine percent between the ages of eighteen and twenty-four. The median age is 33. The city has a mixed demographic mix, with a high percentage of seniors and a low percentage of under-fives. The demographics are also fairly varied when it comes to gender, with a population of men being almost double that of women.

The population of Santa Clarita is fairly diverse, with a racially diverse population. While Los Angeles County is 47% Hispanic and California's population is 36% Hispanic, Santa Clarita's ethnic makeup is quite diverse. Three-quarters of its residents are Filipino, one-fourth are Korean, one-fifth are Chinese, and ten percent are Japanese.

Although the city's ethnic diversity remains relatively small, there are several areas that have become dominated by the Hispanic and Latino community. One example is Fourth Street, which emulates many Mexican cities. The street's slogan is "Made in Mexico." This contrasts sharply with the town's 1950s middle-class white identity. It is undergoing a dramatic gentrification process with an all-Latino city council.
