The median age of the population in Finly City was 35.9 years, with 29.2% of the population being under 18 years of age. Twenty-nine percent of the residents were between the ages of 25 and 44, and twenty-five percent being 45 to 64 years of age. The Plan area and City are about the same in ethnic makeup, with the exception of the South Corridor, which is predominantly Hispanic. In the Plan area, the proportion of African Americans is 19.2%, while it is only 6.9% of the total population of the City. The Asian population is about the same. The white population is higher than that of Asians, but remains significantly lower than that of both African Americans and Asians.
