Lorain City is a small city in Ohio, located on Lake Erie at the mouth of the Black River. The city has a population of 65,211. It is the tenth-largest in the state of Ohio, the third-largest city in the Greater Cleveland area, and the largest city in Lorain County. Lorain is home to many major businesses, including the nearby Cleveland Browns.

The city's primary transportation system is its local street system, although the state has maintained four state highways and one U.S. route. The city also has two fixed-route bus lines and a freight railroad run parallel to the lakeshore. North Erie Avenue passes through the northern part of the city, while Ohio State Route 2 briefly runs through the city limits at the Broadway Avenue/Middle Ridge Road diamond interchange.
