Thealka City is located in Kentucky. It is a small town and has a very low population density. There are 15,335 households, or about 2.5 people per household. The city is also surrounded by water on three sides. The population of Thealka City is diverse, with about 20.5% of residents under the age of 19 and 6.1% of the population between the ages of 20 and 24.
The methods used in this study involved two methods for estimating the number of street children: the direct count method and the indirect count method. During the first visit, key informants were interviewed at various venues to estimate the number of street children living in the city. These key informants were asked to report the minimum and maximum numbers of street children they saw, as well as an overall estimate. The mean of the responses was then calculated for the venues visited and for all venues in the city. The total number of street children was then estimated.
