The Population & Steets in West-River City is part of the Austin city, Texas. The city is home to 72 neighborhoods. The population of these neighborhoods is fairly evenly distributed among different age groups. Twenty-eight percent of the residents were younger than eighteen. Twenty-one percent were middle-aged. Twenty-four percent were between 25 and 44 years old, and eleven percent were 65 or older. The median age in the city was 34 years.

Located along the Mississippi River, Dubuque is a historic and cultural center that attracted large numbers of immigrants. The Black Hawk Purchase Treaty allowed miners to settle west of the Mississippi River. The miners who settled here gave the city its nickname, "Key City." The city was originally known for mining and fur-trading. Later, the area flourished in the heavy industry sector. The city's vibrant economy includes a large manufacturing sector and an ever-growing service industry.

The rapid growth of the area led to a change in city government. Boards and committees were formed to handle the increased services and fine recreation. A new chamber of commerce was established. The population grew slowly in the post-war years, but Radford joined the New River Valley Industrial Commission in 1957 to bring new industries to the area. Brad Ragan Rubber Company, formerly Graflo Rubber Company, became the first large corporation to relocate to West River City.
