The town of Leverett is located in Franklin County, Massachusetts, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,865. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts, Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town lies on the traditional lands of the Pocomtuc and Pennacook tribes. It is the southernmost town in Franklin County. Originally, this town was part of Swampfield.

The town is located in the Leverett School District. There are one elementary school and one high school in the town. Leverett is approximately 27 miles north of Springfield and 86 miles west of Boston. Leverett is part of the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is home to two historic Evangelical churches. The Moores Corner Church was founded by D.L. Moody's protege.
