The first newspaper published in Marshfield Hills was the Marshfield Times. The paper was founded Sept. 12, 1887 by Charles H. Clark. He had previously published the Centralia Enterprise in Centralia, Wisconsin, and the Wood County Herald in 1880. In 1879, Charles H. Clark began publishing the Marshfield Times, which was later known as the Marshfield Times. The paper was sold to J. H. White and Thomas Lyons.
