Dutch John is a small, unincorporated community in eastern Daggett County. It is located approximately 4 miles northeast of Flaming Gorge Dam, which was built by the United States Bureau of Reclamation in 1957. After the completion of the dam, fewer workers lived in Dutch John. Today, it's home to employees of the Utah State Division of Wildlife Resources and the United States Forest Service.
