The population is distributed across four census tracts. Wired and wireless Internet speeds are 34 Mbps and 235 Mbps, respectively. This township is located near the Big Bog State Recreation Area and Upper Red Lake.
The population of Waskish City is approximately 100 people, with many residents living in the surrounding areas. This area was previously populated by more than a dozen resorts, but that dwindled to just two. A retired police officer, Joe Corcoran, bought property on Upper Red Lake before the moratorium took effect, and now has a full time job in Waskish. The local business population is primarily comprised of retired police officers.
