This article will discuss the Population & Steets of Hingham City, Massachusetts. This small Massachusetts city is located in Plymouth County. It was incorporated in 1635. Three decades later, Hingham's colonists negotiated a purchase from the Wampanoag tribe. Chief schem Josiah Wompatuck agreed to sell the township to the colonists. These early settlers included Capt. Joshua Hobart, brother of Rev. Peter Hobart, and Ensign John Thaxter, father of Col. Samuel Thaxter. Despite a few hiccups and a few deaths, the township still looks like a picturesque little New England town.
