Marysville, Montana Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

The U.S. Census Bureau counts every person in the United States and issues a population estimate every ten years. According to this data, the population of Marysville has steadily increased over the past decade. The city has added more than 1,000 people per year, a growth rate of 8.4% from the 2010 census. There is no single reason for this growth, but the city is ideally located alongside I-5, which means that residents have easy access to the region's major cities and other major areas. Having everything one needs is just a short drive away.

Marysville has a population of over 24,000 people. The median age of the population is 33.1 years old, with the greatest percentage of residents being under 18. The next largest age group is 25-44 years old, followed by 45-64-year-olds and two-and-a-half-year-olds. Only 6.1% of the population was 65 or older, which makes Marysville a relatively young city.

The City of Marysville is located on the ancestral land of the Maidu tribe, which lived there 10,000 years before the founding of the town. Europeans, including Jedediah Smith and Hudson Bay Company trappers, stumbled into the region, but never reached the Feather River. John Sutter, an Oregon landowner, leased some of his land to Theodore Cordua, a pioneer who grew livestock and built a home and trading post called New Mecklenburg at the southern end of 'D' Street.
