The West End is the western part of Secaucus City, located south of New Jersey Route 3. The name of the section came from the corporation that owns land in the nearby New Jersey Meadowlands. It was developed in the 1970s as a gated community. The Hackensack RiverWalk Secaucus Greenway runs through Harmon Cove. It is located north of Anderson Marsh and Snake Hill, and is the home of Secaucus Plaza. The Hackensack River is the city's waterway.

The Secaucus Public School District has two elementary schools, Clarendon and Huber Street. Both serve roughly the same number of students. There are also two public middle schools, Secaucus High School and Secaucus Elementary. Secaucus Middle School has five hundred and forty students in grades six through eight, and Secaucus High School has 594 students in grades nine through twelve.

The town is well connected to New York City. The town has ample bus service and free shuttles to the train station. Residents include Michael Gonnelli, a son of the city's mayor. They owned a home in Edison, N.J. Ling Dao is an information manager for a pharmaceutical company. They were married in 2003. Despite the tangled roads in Secaucus, they chose to live in the town because of its lower property taxes.
