Cloudcroft is a small village in southern New Mexico, located in the Lincoln National Forest. According to the 2010 census, the population was 674. The town is surrounded by mountains and is therefore an ideal location for outdoor recreation. The town's elevation makes it a popular destination for tourists in southern New Mexico and west Texas. According to Fodor's, it is the third-most underrated destination in the country, and its economy depends mostly on tourism.
Cloudcroft is home to 530 residents and has a median household income of $40,417. The city's median age is 53.1 years, whereas the national average is 37. Its median household size is 1.9, while the US average is 2.6.
Cloudcroft New Mexico's population is comprised of both white and non-Hispanic residents.
