The Everetts City, Washington, is the county seat and largest city in Snohomish County. As of July 2019, the population of Everett is 111,475. The median age is 36.1 years old, and the median household income is $60,769 - both slightly higher than the state's overall average. The city's racial makeup is made up of predominantly white residents, with Hispanics making up the second largest racial group. Two or more races make up the third most populous racial group, with Black and Hispanic people each forming the fourth.

The Northwest neighborhood of Everett is located to the north of the city center, bordering the Snohomish River and Port Gardner Bay. The Northwest neighborhood has established residential areas, as well as two waterfront parks. The north end of the neighborhood is home to the American Legion Memorial Park, a park with a playground and baseball field. To the east is the Legion Memorial Golf Course.

In 1897, Everett became the county seat. In the following years, the city contested several elections and a Supreme Court case, and was a hotbed of labor unrest. In 1916, members of the Industrial Workers of the World were killed in a mass shooting that took place in the city. Luckily, however, the city's economy grew significantly during this period.
