Balta, North Dakota Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

In North Dakota, this small town is located on the shore of Kilgore Lake. The area is home to a population of 65 people. In the XVII century, Balta was a wealthy community. The town's square was arranged by Prince Joseph Lubomyrsky, who built his castle on the high bank of the river Kodyma. The church that once stood there is now the facade of a pedagogical school.

Housing estates are one of the main sources of Balta City's population. The city is characterized by high social mixing. Many housing estates are comprised of families from all economic and social backgrounds. These families are often right next to one another. In the 1970s, housing estates were developed in the form of large, upscale housing, and the socialist state began to pay attention to them. Housing estates were conceived of as 'palaces for the workers' and featured large entrances, multiple staircases, and a generous garden. Even though they were small, these new developments were highly sought-after.

During the early 19th century, the Balta city's commerce consisted of exporting grain to Odessa. But the economy in the later years deteriorated. The city's history was documented in the Russian Encyclopedia by Brockhaus-Effron. A population survey was completed on 10/8/1994, with two individuals interviewed, Kurits B.A. and Mihaylova Dina.
