The population of Lenapah was approximately 340 people in 2002. It is located eleven miles north of Nowata and sixty-two miles northeast of Oklahoma City. As of that year, there were three businesses in the city. In addition to those businesses, the population of Lenapah was also fairly stable. According to the United States Census Bureau, 151 people commuted to work by car, while two commuted by foot.

The St. Paul Baptist Church is still an important institution in Lenapah. Many of the church's old members are sadly gone, but locals praise the church's pastors for their hard work. Upon its abandonment, the town's youth took the initiative to restore the structure and make it look as presentable as possible. It is an example of community pride. In 1905, the St. Paul Baptist Church was repainted after being abandoned.

The population of Lenapah City is generally younger than the nation. As of the 2010 census, 28.9% of the city's residents were under the age of 18. However, a small number of households (13.8%) were headed by a female without a husband. In addition to this, twenty-two percent of the city's residents were non-families. The remaining twenty-four percent were individuals. One percent of the population was over 65 years old.
