Cranberry, Pennsylvania Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

The population of Cranberry City is a little under 20,000 people. That makes it one of the smaller towns in the state. But even with that small population, there's plenty to do here. Here's the population and steets for Cranberry City. You can also find the history of this township in the book Reflections of Cranberry Township by Helen Goehring Dewald, which is published by the Cranberry Township Historical Society.

Cranberry Township was originally called Cranberry Township, because of the abundance of wild cranberries along Brush Creek. The abundance of cranberries lured deer and Native American hunters to the area. By the 1880s, however, the cranberries were all but gone. Today, the city is home to several census-designated places, including Cranberry Township. The town also hosts the Cranberry Township Historical Society, which collects relics of early local history. A permanent display of these relics is currently under construction in the municipal center.

The township is also home to a number of large manufacturers. UPMC Passavant Hospital-Cranberry is located at the intersection of Routes 19 and 228. It has a number of local businesses, including the Cranberry mall, Cranberry Commons, and Freedom Square. Several professional businesses have established their headquarters in the township. The township also has eight major business-industrial parks.
