Mertztown is a city in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The city has a population of approximately 7,538 residents. This includes the residents of Mertztown's ZIP code and the city's School district. It holds several patents, including VITROBOND and CARBO-KOREZ. Atlas bought the railroad depot in Mertztown in 1962. The railroad depot was later bought by the Longswamp Township Historical Society. The society plans to convert the depot into its headquarters.
