If you've been to the neighborhood of White Rock, you've probably wondered: What are the population and steets like? Until the early 1990s, the fire department was located half a block north of the city limits. In 2007, the town's Little League team reached the Little League World Series, and the city is undergoing significant new development. It is home to several thriving businesses, including a downtown shopping mall.

The population of White Rock grew by 3.2% between the 2011 and 2016 censuses, and is currently estimated at around 20,000 people. White Rock is located in the fastest-growing sub-region of the Vancouver CMA, with Surrey and the Township of Langley being the fastest-growing municipalities overall. As of the 2010 census, the city was home to nearly 42,000 people. It is home to the semiahmoo First Nation, as well as the Southern Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia.
