The city of Madison, Wisconsin has approximately 60,000 residents. The median age was 30.9 years and the population was split into four age groups: under-18s, 18 to 24-year-olds, and 25-to-44-year-olds. The remainder was 45 to 64-year-olds, and the remaining 9.6% were 65-and-over. The city's gender makeup was 50.2% male and 49.8% female.
