The population of Farr West is 61,747 and the town is located within Weber County. It has a total area of 5.8 square miles (14 km2) and borders the towns of Plain City, Willard, Pleasant View and Harrisville to the north and south. The area received a boost when the sugar beet industry was introduced in the early 1900s. The town received its second boost in the early 1980s when the Utah Packing Corporation installed a pea vineer to process field-grown peas.
