This survey aims to identify factors that influence the quality of life in South Ogden. Most respondents said they value a good location, friendliness, and safety. They also valued access to nature and outdoor recreation. However, the data from the survey do not accurately reflect the demographics of the city. Further analysis of this data is ongoing. A summary will be published later in 2021.

In South Ogden City, the majority of residents drive alone to work, with 84.1% commuting from home. The survey aims to determine whether and to what extent residents use public transportation. In this regard, data on the mode of transportation used by South Ogden residents is available. A graph shows how many households in the area use different modes of transportation over time. The chart uses a logarithmic scale on the y-axis, which helps identify the variability of smaller means of commuting.

There are several new town home and apartment developments taking shape in South Ogden. A particularly active area is 40th Street, where three projects are ongoing at once, resulting in 238 housing units. In fact, a half-mile stretch between Adams Avenue and the McKay-Dee Hospital area is undergoing three large housing developments. Combined, these projects will add another 20,000 residents to the city.

A third study aims to measure the quality of living in this city by examining the number of ADUs. It finds that the number of apartments in South Ogden City falls in the 30% range. This is a problem not limited to college students; many other Ogden residents are unable to afford the same quality of living. In addition to a high quality of life, this study also identifies the most affordable housing for those who earn less than $50,000 per year.
