Northlake is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 12,840 at the 2020 census. The city's name is derived from the intersection of two streets. The city's first Mayor, Eldon Hayes, was elected in 1949. The community benefited from new construction, including a two-story addition to the Northlake Public Library. The City has also seen recent growth, including the Donald Kent building and Wolf Ridge Condominium. These buildings sit on the former Westward Ho Golf Course, one of the country's most beautiful golf courses.

Although the city is home to many Mormons, it has a diverse population. The city celebrates Pioneer Day on July 24 each year, commemorating the arrival of Mormon settlers into the Salt Lake Valley. It features a children's parade, a rodeo, and a fireworks display in Liberty Park.
