Fort Morgan, Colorado Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

The city of Fort Morgan is located in the State of Colorado and is a home rule municipality. It is the county seat and most populous city in Morgan County. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population of Fort Morgan was 11,577 people. It is also the principal city of the Fort Morgan, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area. Fort Morgan is home to the historic Lincoln School, which is located at 914 State Street. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the home of the School for the Performing Arts.

Currently, there are four candidates for Ward 3 of the Fort Morgan City Council. Each is eager to serve the community, and one is hopeful of winning on Nov. 2. One of the candidates, James "Jim" Parks, worked for the Fort Morgan Police Department for over two-and-a-half years before his recent appointment to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office. He is a dedicated Fort Morgan resident, and wants to do whatever he can to ensure that the community is better for his or her fellow residents.

Fort Morgan's population is predominantly white. It is large in the late-20s and early-40s age group. Middle-aged adults are also large. Single adults are also plentiful. Compared to other areas of the country, Fort Morgan has a small percentage of unoccupied houses. As for public transportation, Amtrak offers service between Chicago and Emeryville, Illinois, which is located across the bay from San Francisco.
