North Metro, Georgia Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

The recent Population & Steets in North metro city report has highlighted a growing trend in the area. The number of people living in this area has risen by more than 4% over the last decade. This trend is expected to continue as more people relocate to the area. Although the growth rate is slower than in recent years, this is expected considering that the United States is recovering from the Great Recession.

While the two metro areas share a large number of characteristics, there are some major differences between them. For example, the north metro is more conservative than the west metro. Its residents voted against the marriage amendment in 2012 at higher rates than those in St. Paul. Comcast's data group nearby cities such as Hopkins, Lake Nokomis, and Fridley into the "Lakes" market.

The poverty rate in the Metro Area is 9.0%, representing 270,588 residents. This is lower than the national and state level, but the disparity is stark. When looking at poverty rates in this region by demographic groups, one-quarter of residents with only a high school diploma lived below the poverty line. Meanwhile, the poverty rate dropped to 7.2% for those with some college or a bachelor's degree.

In terms of population density, New York City is the fourth-most-density metropolitan area in the nation. In 2010, the city was home to 5,319 people per square mile. Only Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Jose are higher in population density.
