Located in Maine's Lakes Region, the town of Bridgton is the site of the Four on the Fourth Road Race. It is part of the Portland-South Portland-Biddeford, ME metropolitan area. The town's median age was 46.8 years. The town's population was split nearly equally between males and females, with fifty-two percent being male and fifty-one percent being female.

In the near future, Westbrook will pursue changes to the zoning in the Bridgton Road corridor. These changes would promote more compact development and a mix of uses consistent with a more traditional main street corridor. The Town will also continue to pursue transportation network improvements, such as the redevelopment of the Bridgton Road corridor, and will actively participate in state and regional transportation efforts.

In the future, Bridgton City will need to plan for a new public services facility. The existing Fred C. Wescott Building will undergo renovation, but its use will remain as an important community center. In addition, the Walker Memorial Library will receive interior and exterior maintenance. Additionally, the Town will need to upgrade its public roads and bridges. The Town's sewer extension should be in an existing developed area.
