Dover-Foxcroft is a small, charming town located on the eastern shore of Maine. The city was incorporated in 1821. During its first meeting, voters approved 90 articles, including a new public street named Lancaster Avenue, funds for a new furnace and bathroom at the town farm, and tuition for students at Foxcroft Academy. The median age was 47, down from 48 in 2018.

The town is bordered by state routes 6-7 and 15-16 and is the county's commercial center. It has a population of approximately 2.4k people, with a majority of White residents. There are also 93 American Indians & Alaska Natives (non-Hispanic), and 90 Two+ residents. In terms of race, the town is home to 1.46% Hispanic.

The population of Dover-Foxcroft is 4,213 as of the 2010 census. The town is also home to the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, an annual, one-day event that celebrates the popular New England treat. The festival started in 2009, and it was incorporated into Maine's official state treat in 2013.
