When analyzing the population of a community, one key aspect to consider is the level of poverty. Although the population of Blandford City has remained the same over the last several years, the demographics of its residents have changed. The town's population increased significantly between 1790 and 1800. The population grew from 772 to 1,416 residents, a nearly four-fold increase in a generation. By 1800, the population of Blandford topped 2,000, making it the city's largest. The city's economic condition, however, remained low for a long time.
