Lake Crystal, Minnesota Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

A good way to learn more about Lake Crystal City is to look at the population and steets. These statistics provide a snapshot of the city's current population. Compared to other cities in Illinois, Crystal Lake has a low crime rate. The violent crime rate is only 132 crimes per 100,000 residents, making it a safer city to live in. The city also has a low unemployment rate.

The population of Crystal Lake was 718 at the time of the 1880 census. The town had few industries, including a flour mill and shingle mill near Shingle Creek. In the 1870s, brickyards opened up along the Mississippi River. In 1878, the area was attached to the Minneapolis suburb of Camden. Crystal Lake was also home to the Anton Wolf hotel, a popular hunting destination for local sportsmen.

The church was organized in 1860, with six members. The church was located near Bass Lake Road, formerly Bottineau Road, and West Broadway. The church was known as the Little White Church. The chair from that church can be found in the Robbinsdale Historical Society. Interestingly, the church was closed in 1907.

The area around the lake was known as Robbinsdale Park in the 1880s. It is now called West Broadway. The village hall was built in 1863 and cost about $2,500 to $3,000. The original site was donated by Jonathan S. Malbon. The first cemetery site, now known as the Brooklyn-Crystal Cemetery, is four and a half miles north of Rockford Road. It is located on West Broadway.
