The city is located near the town of Alexandria, Virginia. The population of the city is approximately 6,000 people. Alexandria is known as a major center for retail. It is also home to many businesses, including the Cameron Shirt Company. The company opened in 1901 with 225 employees, producing shirts and blouses for the civilian and military markets. W.H. Cameron, a former salesman for Levi Strauss, established the business.
