The Bethania town hall and museum opened in March 2007 and are located in the Wolff-Moser House, a 1792 Moravian farmstead house. It is open to the public during town hall hours. The town hall also serves as an orientation center for the Bethania National Historic Landmark District.

The city's population was well-spread out. A quarter of the population was under 18 years old. Another quarter of the population was 18-24 years old, and almost one fifth was 45-64 years old or older. The median age of the population was 42 years old. The population was comprised of individuals of all races, and 69.8% were married couples. There were also 15.8% of households that were not families. Lastly, five percent of the households had senior citizens living alone.

The last census of Bethania City, Rural Hall, Walkertown, and surrounding areas was conducted in 2006. Suburban development and historic resource loss began in the 2010s. Suburbs were built on top of old farms, and the town lost much of its historic character. However, Forsyth County has fewer farms - 304 between 10 and 49 acres, and 144 between fifty and 99 acres.
