McClain County is a rural county in central Oklahoma, part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). The county is home to 32,365 people. Its land area covers 580 square miles. It borders Cleveland County, Pottawatomie County, and the Canadian River, which forms the entirety of its northern boundary. Approximately 23% of residents commute to work in nearby Cleveland or Pottawatomie counties, while the remaining 41% live in Oklahoma County.
