The population of Robersonville is diverse in many ways. Most residents identify as white, though about one-third of its population is Black or African American. The city is also home to a large number of Hispanic and Latino residents. In addition, about one-third of the population is Asian. Its most popular languages are English, Spanish, and Korean. Nevertheless, the city is primarily a working class community.

Robersonville is located in Martin County, North Carolina. The population was 1,488 at the 2010 census. It is expected to grow to 1,322 by 2020. Robersonville is part of the Martin County School District, which includes three elementary and high schools. In addition, the city has a large number of veterans.

The city was originally populated by Native Americans, but settlers arrived before the Revolutionary War. In 1776, a Primitive Baptist Church was established in the area. Early settlers included the Robason family, whose name became Roberson. Before the Civil War, George O. Roberson and his father, William, owned a store.

Robersonville has a median household income of $33,400. There are 1,210 registered voters in the city. A majority of residents live in homes that are owner-occupied. However, a quarter live in rental units.
