Fairhope City, Alabama is located in the state of Alabama. It was incorporated in 1908. The city was founded in 1894 by the Fairhope Industrial Association, which wanted to establish a model community in the Gulf Coast. In the mid-1900s, the city assumed responsibility for municipal services and cared for some of the city's greatest assets, including a beachfront park lands above the beach. In addition, Fairhope City took care of the city's quarter-mile-long pier, which had been gifted to it by the Single Tax Colony.

The city has a diverse population. As of the 2016 census, 91.8 percent of the population was white, while the remainder was African American, Hispanic, or Asian. Approximately one percent of the population was Native American. The median household income was $61,723, and the median per capita income was $36,502.

Fairhope is a coastal city in Baldwin County, Alabama. It has a population of over 22,000 people and is part of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley metro area. Fairhope was home to Marietta Johnson's school for organic education in 1907. John Dewey praised the school in his book, Schools of Tomorrow.
