The most expensive place to live in South Park City is a single-family detached house with yard, a mile from downtown. This is a historically black college town. Shaw University trained doctors and professors. The town had dozens of black-owned businesses in the early 20th century. However, this did not lead to a sudden boom in the city's population. A recent study showed that the median household income is now less than $35,000, which is still a lower-income neighborhood than many of its counterparts.
This area has a healthy mix of middle class and lower-class areas, including downtown and residential neighborhoods. The poorer portions of South Park are characterized by homeless camps and abandoned train tracks. The wealthy area is associated with the Black Family. The town is also home to some mystical creatures, including the Skuzzlebutt and the endangered Jakovasaurs that re-emerged from Stark's Pond. The majority of animals are perfectly normal.
