The population of Dike is a little bit on the smaller side compared to other Texas cities. The city has a population of about nine hundred and eighty people. Of those, twelve hundred and eighty-one are males and one hundred and thirty-one are females. The median age of the population is 36.4 and 37.1 respectively, and there are approximately four hundred and seventy-three deaths each year. The population of Dike is mainly made up of single-family attached housing (town homes and row houses). There are also approximately 200 apartment units and two-family detached dwellings.
