Telephone, Texas Statistic: Population, Charts, Map, Steets and More

In the first half of the 20th century, Brantford was known as the "Telephone City." It was here that Alexander Graham Bell invented the electric telephone, at his father's farm, now known as Bell Homestead. The city is a cultural and industrial center, once ranking third in the country in cash-value of exported manufactured goods. Wayne Gretzky, the NHL star, was born here in 1903.
