The city of KANOSH is located in the state of Utah. It has a population of 474 as of the 2010 census. It has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.2 km2).

The median age of residents in Kanosh is 33.5 years. Those between fifteen and twenty-five years are the most likely to be single. One-third of all Americans in that age group is single. There are a few notable racial and ethnic groups in the city. Eight percent of Kanosh citizens are veterans, compared to a ten percent national average. The largest population of citizens who are veterans is Danish.

The city was formed as a ward of the Fillmore Stake in 1877. It was adversely affected by the atomic testing in the Nevada desert in the 1950s. Many of its residents later developed cancerous symptoms. In 2000, the U.S. Congress passed a law, the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act, that provides some minimal compensation to those affected by the testing.
