The population of Pewaukee city-WI is relatively old. The median age is 45.3 years. Of the people living in the city, 7.1% are younger than 20 years old. Pewaukee City has 13,195 residents, according to the 2010 census. The city was founded in 1999, out of parts of the former town of Pewaukee. The town was incorporated in 1840 by an act of the Wisconsin Territorial Legislature. This was eight years before the city was granted statehood. The town had a population of 3,000 in 1850, and grew from there.
